1. Broadcast Journalism/Video Production Assistant: As a team member of the Communications and Video Production team, this applicant will create and develop news items/videos that highlight Department activities, institutions, offices and staff. This position will script, interview and produce educational and public awareness segments that will be posted on the Department's website, social media sites and be distributed to media outlets across Florida. They will also provide assistance in the production of video recordings/programs (such as assistance in camera operations, lighting, sound, and/or editing.) The internship requires a minimum of one academic semester for 20-30 hours per week Monday through Friday. Schedule details to be determined with intern supervisor.

2. Public Information Assistant: As a team member in the Office of Communications, this applicant will work closely with offices and institutions statewide, as well as the Department's web and video production teams, to create educational tools and promote Department initiatives. This applicant will need to have strong writing skills, be creative, have the ability to multi-task, troubleshoot and problem solve and be able to network and foster relationships both internally and externally. The internship requires a minimum of one academic semester for 20-30 hours per week Monday through Friday. Schedule details to be determined with the intern supervisor.

3. Community Corrections Internship: Statewide placement is available for this position with Community Corrections. The incumbent in this position should be proficient in the use of Microsoft word and will work closely with probation officers and supervisors in the assigned probation office, observe probation officers conduct interviews and make referrals to community resources and services with supervised offenders, assist with employment verifications and investigations, observe criminal court proceedings, assist with data entry, and assist in other assigned activities within Community Corrections.

4. Community Programs/Victim Services:Central Office placement in Tallahassee, FL is available for this position within the Office of Community Corrections’ Bureau of Community Programs. This position will locate, assist and notify victims of crimes committed by inmates and offenders under our supervision; work closely with Community Corrections staff in providing information and interacting with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies in an effort to clear pending warrants (absconders) for offenders on community supervision; assist with interstate compact transfers of supervised offenders and statewide emergency operations management, as needed. This position will also have the opportunity to travel to local facilities, supervision offices, courts, etc. to assist professional Community Corrections staff in duties relating to offender supervision. The incumbent in this position should be proficient in Microsoft Office and will require a valid driver’s license and mode of transportation.
